I arrived in Noosa from Byron Bay to escape the flocking tourists that
were arriving by the busload for Christmas. As I arrived I was very
pleased with the relaxed atmosphere, beautiful scenery and even bush
fires. As an American I had never seen a wild fire and was surprised
the area wasn't being evacuated. It was evident that the fire was back
in the bush a good distance from town so it had little threat to most.
I was camped back in the bush and was often wondering if my gear was
on fire as I took some of the shots. On most days at a quick glance
it was hard to tell the smoke from the natural white clouds. Up close
it was a little smokie, but as I see it, that was just a deterrent for
the mozzies. |
