Grays
and Torreys Peaks

I
created this map with my handheld GPS imported the corridnates into
Delorme Topo USA and traced the trail shown below. Grays is to the left
of Torreys and is a few feet taller than Torreys Peak; even though when
you are there most people would bet that Torreys was taller. We headed
up the single red line to the left up Grays trail and then down and
up the saddle to Torreys which led us off a narrow goat trail down the
east side of Torreys ridge. |

The
elevation profile below is of the trail with out doubleing any ground
in the calculation (there was about 2 additional miles worth of backtrack
on the trail starting at about 12,300 ft to the final elevation of 11,250.) |
