Otter
Creek Wilderness, West Virginia
Starting in Luray, Virginia, with warm sunny weather
Ryan and I departed to 'wild and wonderful' West Virginia where perdictions
called for freezing rain, sleet and snow. To the left is a picture
I took Saturday morning from the cabin we stayed at. (situated
on the south branch of the Shenandoah river)
Soon after sunrise we drove three hours to Otter Creek wilderness.
The weather started as a mix of freezing rain and snow as predicted.
It seemed to be very cold for the time of year, however the next day
the air was warm, skys brilliant blue, a fresh crisp clean autumn
breeze gently blowing through the branches. A trip that provided a
mild mix of all seasons.
